Punjab Police Detect New ISI Strategy Behind Terror Modules

Punjab Police has found a new trend in Pakistan based ISI’s strategy to create disturbance in the border state through their terror-modules based out of Punjab. Their main aim is to inflict damage in the state to lower the morale of law enforcement agencies.

This has been noticed during the investigation of the terror modules busted by Ludhiana Police, recently, including the one in which two were injured in an encounter last night. They both belonged to Rajasthan. Two Chinese hand grenades, five sophisticated pistols and about 50 live cartridges were recovered from them.

Ludhiana Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that the foot soldiers of ISI backed terror modules are not only based in Punjab but in Mumbai, Bihar and other states as well.

The Police Commissioner disclosed that both had come to Ludhiana from Rajasthan and had been staying here for the last two days and planning the grenade attack. These two operatives were sent by Pakistan-based handler Jasvir Chaudhary to carry out the attack. He said the police are contemplating involving the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the investigation. Ludhiana Commissionerate Police had earlier also busted one such module by arresting three accused from Punjab, Haryana and Bihar through whom the whereabouts of these two were found.
