Punjab Police have busted a cross-border narco-arms smuggling module by apprehending its 4 operatives in Amritsar, today. Two sophisticated pistols with 34 live cartridges, 1.5 kg of heroin and about 2 lakh rupees in drug money have been recovered from their possession. Police sources said that the accused were in active connivance with their foreign-based handlers, besides being in contact with Pakistan-based smugglers through social media platforms to receive consignments of illegal arms and heroin for supplying to various locations in the state.
