The Punjab Police has thwarted an attempt to compromise national security by apprehending two persons involved in leaking sensitive military information.
Punjab Police Chief Gaurav Yadav has said that the duo, Sukhpreet Singh and Karanbir Singh from Gurdaspur were engaged in sharing classified details related to Operation Sindoor, including troop movements and key strategic locations in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, & Jammu-Kashmir with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI.
Acting swiftly, the Gurdaspur police arrested both the suspected spies. Forensic examination of their mobile phones has confirmed the intelligence inputs. The police team has also recovered 3 mobile phones and live cartridges from their possession.
Earlier, two spies including a woman Gazala and Yamin Mohammad were arrested in Malerkotla on May 11, and one Davender Singh Dhillon has also been arrested from Kaithal in Haryana.
