Punjab has opened its first Dog Sanctuary in Ludhiana as a pilot project, which will be replicated across the state. Cabinet minister for local government, Sanjeev Arora, while inaugurating the sanctuary, said that the initiative aims to reduce dog bite cases in the city and will operate as per the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court.
