In Punjab, a state-level Police Commemoration Day was observed at the Punjab Armed Police in Jalandhar. State Police Chief Gaurav Yadav, along with other officers, paid tributes to the brave police martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty to protect our nation. He said, as a force, we salute their valour and reaffirm our pledge to uphold their legacy. 

 

 

He said that on this day, we draw inspiration from the courage, dedication and selfless service of our valiant police officers and personnel, and reaffirm our commitment to building a safer nation and a better society.

 

 

Tributes were also paid at the Martyrs’ Memorial at Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier Headquarters in Jalandhar by the Inspector General, Dr Atul Fulzele.
