The Punjab government has decided to construct a glass bridge over Sutlej Lake in Nangal town of the Ropar district of the state. This is stated to be North India’s first such Glass Bridge.
In a bid to transform Nangal into a hub of modern infrastructure, skill development and tourism, a Rs. 75 crore development package was rolled out by the government yesterday.
The package includes a Rs 23 crore Centre of Excellence as well, which is named after the Kargil Martyr, Captain Amol Kalia, besides major upgrades in education infrastructure as well.
