Punjab Government has launched a WhatsApp number 905-600-9884 for NRIs to report their problems and complaints. Their complaints will be forwarded to the concerned departments as well as the Addl. Director General of Police NRI Wing of Punjab Police for redressal. NRIs may also visit on nri.punjab.gov.in website for detailed information pertaining to NRI police wing, State Commission for NRIs and NRI Sabha.

State NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has informed that NRI Affairs department is providing facilities of countersigning/attestation of various documents such as birth certificate, unavailability of birth certificate, police clearance, marriage/ divorce certificate etc. of Punjabis living abroad. NRIs can apply online on E-Sanad portal for getting their documents countersigned from their homes.
