Punjab-based Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar has made Punjabi mandatory for major research outputs alongside English. This policy decision will take effect from the next academic session. Vice-Chancellor Professor Karamjeet Singh has described it as a historic and people-centric step that aligns with the spirit of the National Education Policy 2020.
