In by-elections held on Wednesday for 13 Assembly Constituencies of seven states, the first two results have come so far from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party has won the Jalandhar west reserved assembly seat. In Himachal, ruling Congress won Dehra seat. Counting for remaning constituencies is underway in 11 Assembly Constituencies seats spread over six states.
The AAP candidate Mohindar Bhagat won this seat by a margin of 37,325 votes. He defeated BJP candidate Sheetal Angural in the triangular contest. In Himachal, Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur defeated BJP candidate Hoshyar Singh by 9399 votes.
In West Begal, All India Trinamool Congress is leading on all four assembly seats went for by-polls. TMC candidates, Krishna Kalyani from Raiganj, Mukut Mani Adhikari from Ranaghat Dakshin, Madhuparna from Bagda and Supti Pandey is leading from Maniktala Assembly Constituency.
