Reducing compliance burden and ensuring time-bound clearances for industries and businesses, the Puducherry Legislative Assembly today passed the landmark Puducherry Ease of Doing Business (Service Delivery) Bill, 2025.

The legislation mandates strict timelines for every stage of approval, provides for deemed approval in case of delays, and prescribes penalties for non-compliance by authorities. After completing the legislative business, the House was adjourned sine die.
