Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy has said that the Government is fully prepared to handle the impact of Cyclone Ditwah. Speaking to the media, he said that all precautionary measures have been put in place as heavy rains continue across the region. The Chief Minister said that the District Collector is inspecting various areas to monitor the situation. He added that in Karaikal, instructions have been issued to ensure food supply to all relief camps.

In Puducherry, stormwater drains in low-lying areas have been cleared to prevent waterlogging, and motor pumps have been kept ready at vulnerable locations. The Chief Minister further stated that government officials have been briefed on the steps to be followed during heavy rain and cyclone conditions.
