Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy has written a letter to the Indian Ambassador in Tehran, requesting necessary arrangements to trace and bring back home Uppilathali Ajith, a native of the Mahe region of Puducherry. Mr. Ajith, who works as a marine engineer, had left for Iran on the 16th of last month aboard a merchant vessel. However, since then, no information about his whereabouts has been received by his family. In view of this, the Chief Minister has urged the Indian Embassy in Tehran to take steps to locate him in Iran and ensure his safe return to the country.
