An awareness rally was organized jointly by the National Tobacco Control Programme, the State Tobacco Control Cell, and the Government Chest Diseases Hospital in Puducherry today as a part of Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 3.0.
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy flagged off the rally from the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute. Over 300 medical students participated in the rally, carrying placards highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco use and spreading awareness among the public.
The Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 3.0 aims to reduce tobacco use among adolescents and youth and will be conducted across the Union Territory over the next 60 days.
