The Puducherry Assembly passed the Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill through a voice vote today, earmarking 5,396 crores rupees for the first five months of the next fiscal 2026-27. The bill was tabled by Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who also holds the Finance portfolio. A Bill seeking approval for additional expenditure for the current financial year was also introduced in the House. The assembly adjourned sine die after transacting scheduled business.
