Professor Ashim Kumar Ghosh today took oath as the 19th Governor of Haryana. He succeeds Bandaru Dattatraya. A distinguished academician, Mr Ghosh was administered the oath of office by Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Sheel Nagu in a ceremony at the Haryana Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh.
Punjab governor and Chandigarh administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli, were present on the occasion. A political scientist by training and a former professor at a Shri Shikshayatan College in Kolkata, Ashim Kumar Ghoshosh had long been seen as a cerebral presence in BJP.
