President Droupadi Murmu today wished citizens on Chaitra Shuklaadi, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navreh, and Sajibu Cheiroba. In a social media post, the President said that these festivals celebrated across various regions of the country to welcome the arrival of the new year are vibrant symbols of India’s rich cultural diversity. President Murmu also expressed hope that these joyous occasions infuse prosperity and new hope into everyone’s lives.
Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan also extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Nav Samvatsar, Chaitra Shukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navreh, Sajibu Cheiraoba, and the commencement of Chaitra Navratri. In a social media post, the Vice-President said that these festivals, celebrated across different parts of the country, mark the beginning of the traditional New Year, herald the arrival of spring, and embody the spirit of renewal and fresh beginnings, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and unity in diversity. Mr Radhakrishnan wished that these occasions usher in happiness, prosperity, and renewed hope in everyone’s lives.
