President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended greetings to fellow citizens on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. In a social media post, the President said that the message of Guru Ravidas is rooted in equality and harmony and remains an eternal source of inspiration for society.

 

President Murmu added that, by walking the path of sacrifice and austerity, Guru Ravidas continuously strived to eliminate discrimination based on caste and religion. The President asked the citizens to embrace Guru Ravidas’ teachings, grounded in service and devotion and contribute to the building of a developed nation.  

 

Vice President C P Radhakrshnan said that Sant Guru Ravidas’ teachings of equality, compassion, and social harmony continue to inspire generations. He added that Guru Ravidas’ message of human dignity, devotion, and unity remains deeply relevant in strengthening the moral and spiritual fabric of Indian society. The Vice President further wished that the timeless wisdom of Guru Ravidas guide the citizens towards a more just, inclusive, and harmonious nation. 

 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi said that Guru Ravidas’ thoughts, the spirit of justice and compassion was supreme, which forms the very foundation of the government’s schemes for public welfare. The Prime Minister added that the lamp of social harmony and goodwill that Guru Ravidas ignited will forever continue to illuminate the path of the countrymen.
