President Murmu, VP Radhakrishnan & PM Modi pay tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary

President Droupadi Murmu today paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, celebrated as National Youth Day. In a social media post, the President said that Swami Vivekanand was a timeless visionary and spiritual icon who preached that inner strength and service to humanity were the foundations of a meaningful life. President Murmu said that Swami Vivekananda carried India’s eternal wisdom to the world.

The President further asserted that Swami Vivekananda instilled national pride among Indians and inspired the youth to contribute to nation-building. President Murmu wished that his teachings would continue to inspire humanity. Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Youth Day.

Additionally, Vice President C P Radhakrishnan also paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary at the Vice President’s Enclave. In a social media post, Mr Radhakrishnan said that Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings emphasised inner strength, self-discipline, and selfless service as the pillars of a purposeful life. He also said that Swami Vivekananda ignited national pride and instilled confidence among the youth to work for the nation’s progress. The Vice President expressed hope that Swami Vivekananda’s ideals continue to be a guiding light for generations.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary. The Prime Minister said that Swami Vivekananda is a powerful source of inspiration for India’s youth power. Mr Modi further asserted that Swami Vivekananda’s personality and works continuously infuse new energy into the resolve for a developed India. On the occasion of National Youth Day, the Prime Minister wished that this divine occasion bring new strength and new self-confidence for all fellow citizens, especially young companions.
