President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed grief over the loss of lives in the fire incident at a hospital in Cuttack, Odisha.

In a social media post, President Murmu extended her condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured. Mr Radhakrishnan also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi also conveyed condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. He also announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of each deceased. The injured will be given 50 thousand rupees.
