President Droupadi Murmu has urged students to make use of the vast learning resources available in the digital age. Speaking at the Convocation ceremony at the Central University of Tamilnadu, Tiruvarur today, the President said that the Country’s industries are ready for a 4.0 where students can get the maximum benefit of it. Quoting former President Dr. Radhakrishnan, she said that the importance of education is to keep learning and develop knowledge and wisdom. She asked the students to rediscover the New Education Policy and urged them to render their contribution to the growth of the Society in a dynamic way. Reminiscing about her job as a teacher, the President said that Once a teacher, always a teacher. The President pointed out that the Central University has been maintaining high standards of education. She said the University had widened the net of education to rural and marginal areas enabling students to become better learned citizens of the future. Assuring that the youth of today will reign in the days of Amrit Kaal, the President said that they are the future of the Nation and they need to be sensitive to the needs of the people around them. She complimented the girl students for securing two thirds of the gold medals.
The President conferred gold medals on 45 graduands and 44 doctoral graduands received their degrees, each of whom has made significant contributions in their respective fields of research. A total of 1010 students graduated this year at the convocation
