On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings and best wishes to all the people of the State. In a social media post, the President said that the people of Maharashtra, the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, have always had the spirit of patriotism and the courage to fight against injustice. President Murmu added that great personalities from the State, including Mahatma Phule, Savitribai Phule, Mahadev Govind Ranade, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Gopalkrishna Gokhale, and Baba Saheb Ambedkar, have given a new direction to society. The President wished for the happiness and prosperity of the State and its residents and expressed optimism that Maharashtra will play an important role in making India a developed nation.
