President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to the citizens on the eve of the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar. In her message, the President paid tribute to Dr Ambedkar, pointing out that he was a jurist, economist, profound thinker, legal scholar and strong advocate of an egalitarian social system. The President added that he dedicated his life to the upliftment of the deprived and vulnerable sections of society and made historic contributions in their favour. President Murmu also said that Dr Ambedkar not only showed the path to eliminate inequalities but also played a leading role in strengthening the country’s democratic values and constitutional rights. The President said that Dr Ambedkar prioritized women’s education and their rights. President Murmu added that his multifaceted contributions will continue to inspire future generations to play an active role in the service and development of the country.

 

On this occasion, the President urged everyone to take a pledge to imbibe the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar in their lives and contribute towards building a just, inclusive and progressive nation.
