President Droupadi Murmu today attended an event organised to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur at Red Fort in New Delhi. The President paid obeisance to Guru Sahib and expressed reverence for the occasion. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Government Cabinet Ministers including members of the Sikh community were also present on the ocassion.
Delhi Chief Minister Mrs Gupta said that the overwhelming turnout of devotees on the concluding day was deeply moving. She noted that such an event was organised for the first time in Delhi’s history, in which lakhs of devotees participated over the three-day congregation.
