President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have extended their greetings and wishes to the citizens on the occasion of Onam. President Murmu, in her message, said that Onam is a unique example of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and tradition. She added that this festival reminds people of the importance of unity, cooperation, and harmony beyond cultural and religious beliefs. The President also highlighted that it is an occasion to express gratitude to the nation’s farmers.

 

 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi, in a social media post, expressed hope that the festival brings joy, good health, and prosperity to all. He underscored that Onam reminds us of Kerala’s traditions and its rich culture. The Prime Minister added that the festival is a symbol of unity, hope, and cultural pride and hoped that the occasion helps foster friendship in society and strengthen everyone’s bond with nature.
