President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief at the loss of lives in the bus accident in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. In a social media post, they also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Prime Minister Modi also announced an ex gratia of two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, which would be given to the next of kin of each of those who lost their lives in the tragic mishap. The injured would be given 50 thousand rupees.
