President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President C P Radhakrishnan today extended greetings to the countrymen on the occasion of the Sarhul festival.

In a social media post, President Murmu said, the festival, celebrated on the occasion of the arrival of new flowers on the trees of the year, is a symbol of new beginnings with fresh energy. She added that the festival also underscores the collective consciousness of the tribal community and their deep bond with nature.

The President also urged the citizens to resolve to move forward on the path of development while conserving the natural resources. Vice President C P Radhakrishnan wished that the festival bring peace and prosperity to every home.
