President Droupadi Murmu will be the Chief Guest at the diamond jubilee celebration of AIISH in Mysuru today evening.

All India Institute of Speech and Hearing or AIISH in short is an autonomous Institute under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare training professionals in the area of speech language pathology along with research in the area of hearing impairment and cure.

The President will interact with the children learning to speak at pre-school run by AIISH and also observe the difference that AIISH has made in the communication skills of children in the pre-school.

During the inauguration of the diamond jubilee celebrations, the President will be releasing the diamond jubilee logo and postal cover.

The Institute has planned to release an album titled ‘60 at 60 AIISH as a Diamond Beacon’, narrating the success stories of the institute. It will also release a handbook on communication disorders and the treatment facilities titled, ‘The Pulse of Communication, AIISH in Action’.

The Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and Chief Minister in the state Siddaramaiah will be releasing them during the inaugural today. Karnataka Health and Family Welfare minister Dinesh Gundu Rao and Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel will be present on this occasion.
