President Droupadi Murmu reached the pilgrimage city of Gaya Ji in Bihar this morning. She will offer pind daan, a ritual offering for ancestors at the Vishnupad Temple during the ongoing Pitru Paksha Mela.

A large number of devotees from India and abroad are arriving Gaya Ji to perform pind daan and tarpan in memory of their ancestors and departed souls.

The President arrived at Gaya Airport by a special aircraft this morning.

On arrival, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi,and  Cooperative Minister Dr. Prem Kumar welcomed the President at the airport.

In view of the President’s visit, elaborate security arrangements have been made in Gaya Ji.
