President Droupadi Murmu has expressed grief on the demise of eminent Malayalam writer M T Vasudevan Nair. In a social media post, the President said that with the demise of M T Vasudevan Nair, the world of literature has become poorer. She said that rural India came alive in his writings. President Murmu said, M T Vasudevan Nair was honoured with major literary awards and had made significant contributions to films. She said the renowned Malayalam writer was awarded the Padma Bhushan. She conveyed condolences to the family members, the large number of readers and admirers of M T Vasudevan Nair.
