President Droupadi Murmu today dedicated four schemes to the women of Delhi. The schemes include the Lakhpati Bitiya Scheme, Saheli Pink Smart Card, Meri Poonji Mera Adhikaar, and the Free LPG Cylinder Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, President Murmu underscored that women are an indispensable pillar of society. The President added that their respect and empowerment stand as a true hallmark of a civilised nation. President Murmu highlighted that the central government has been working towards women’s empowerment through transformative initiatives such as PM Ujjwala Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
Expressing confidence in the impact of the newly launched schemes, President Murmu said these initiatives will instil confidence in the women of the national capital and inspire them to rise and achieve new heights.
Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena, and Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta were also present on the occasion.
