Pramod Bhagat clinches gold and 2 silver medals at Spanish Para Badminton International 2026 – Level 1

India’s Paralympic champion Pramod Bhagat clinched one gold and two silver medals at the Spanish Para Badminton International 2026 – Level 1 in Toledo.

Bhagat, along with Manisha Ramdass, won gold in the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 category, defeating fellow Indians Nitesh Kumar and Thulasimathi Murugesan 21-15, 24-22. In the men’s singles SL3 final, Bhagat settled for silver after losing to Nitesh Kumar 10-21, 17-21.

In the men’s doubles SL3-SU5 event, Bhagat and Sukant Kadam secured another silver, going down to the Indian pair of Naveen Sivakumar and Surya Kant Yadav 16-21, 21-12, 15-21. Overall, India registered multiple podium finishes across categories at the tournament. Nitesh Kumar clinched gold in men’s singles SL3, while Manasi Joshi and Thulasimathi Murugesan won gold in women’s doubles SL3-SU5. Thulasimathi Murugesan also secured gold in women’s singles SU5, with Manisha Ramdass taking silver in the same event.
