In Telangana, the polling is underway for the second phase of Gram Pancayats for three thousand 911 sarpanch posts and 29 thousand 913 ward members across 31 districts in the state. Polling will continue till 1 in the afternoon. 

 

 

Over 57 lakh voters will decide the fate of 12 thousand 782 sarpanch candidates and over 71 thousand candidates who are in the fray for the ward members. 415 Panchayats have been unanimously elected in the 2nd phase, while 8 thousand 308 wards have also been unanimously elected.

 

 

The third phase polling will be held on the 17th of this month.
