PMAY-G Beneficiary Conference & Maha Awaas Abhiyan State Awards Ceremony to be Held in Maharashtra today

A beneficiaries’ convention of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana and the state-level award distribution ceremony of the Maha Awas Abhiyan will be held in Satara, Maharashtra, today.

Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar will attend the programme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, five lakh houses constructed for beneficiaries will be handed over during the event.

Keys of the houses will also be symbolically presented to six beneficiaries. So far, three crore houses have been constructed under the scheme across the country.

On the occasion, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will announce approval of central assistance worth 8,368 crore and 50 lakh rupees for Maharashtra under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana for the financial year 2026-27.

In addition, approval will be granted for 35 road projects worth 122 crore and 98 lakh rupees under Phase Four of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Thirty-five rural habitations in the state are expected to benefit from these projects.
