Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Hyderabad this evening. Mr Modi said the people of Telangana are seeking change after being let down by both the BRS and the Congress. He said only the BJP’s double-engine government can fulfil public aspirations and ensure development. He added that the BJP has formed government in West Bengal with strong mandates and expressed confidence that similar support is emerging in Telangana.
The Prime Minister also said that the collective spirit of the people shows that an ideology dedicated to the nation cannot be confined by any boundary. Mr Modi accused the Congress of promoting corruption and dynastic politics, and alleged that it has weakened constitutional institutions. He also criticised the Trinamool Congress, claiming it adopted similar practices and developed an authoritarian model of governance in West Bengal.
