Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Punjab on Tuesday, September 9, to review the flood situation. He is expected to personally assess local conditions and understand ground realities to ensure maximum assistance for the affected people.
Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar confirmed the visit in a social media post. He said the Prime Minister is deeply concerned about the crisis and is closely monitoring developments. Jakhar reiterated that the Government of India stands firmly with the people of Punjab.
Earlier, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the state to evaluate the situation. In addition, two central inter-ministerial teams were deputed to assess the damage caused by the floods.
