Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam this evening. During his two-day visit, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a development project and flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains.
Akashvani’s correspondent reports that this evening at around 6 PM Prime Minister will participate in the Bagurumba Dwhou 2026, Traditional Bodo Cultural Programme at Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati. On this occasion, more than 10,000 artists from the Bodo community will perform the Bagurumba dance in a single, synchronised presentation.
Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project worth over 6,950 crore rupees at Kaliabor in Nagaon district at around 11 am. The elevated wildlife corridor will ensure the uninterrupted movement of animals and reduce human-wildlife conflict. It will also enhance road safety, reduce travel time and support growing passenger and freight traffic. The Prime Minister will also flag off 2 New Amrit Bharat Express trains – Kamakhya-Rohtak Amrit Bharat Express and Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar Amrit Bharat Express. The Prime Minister will also address a public meeting at Kaliabor before concluding his Assam visit.
