In Tripura, preparations are complete for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to inaugurate the newly developed infrastructure and beautification works at the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple complex under the PRASHAD scheme tomorrow.
Inspector General of Police Ipper Manchak said elaborate security arrangements have been put in place in and around the temple premises as well as in Udaipur town, where the shrine is located in Gomati district. A 12-kilometer roadshow from OTPC Palatana to the temple is also planned, with foolproof security measures in place. Along with Tripura Police, CRPF and BSF personnel have been deployed to ensure safety.
After inaugurating the redeveloped temple, Prime Minister Modi will offer prayers at Mata Tripura Sundari, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. He is scheduled to arrive in Agartala tomorrow afternoon from Arunachal Pradesh, and from there will travel directly to Udaipur, about 65 kilometers south of the state capital, for the inauguration programme.<>
