PM Modi says, India built a transparent & citizen-centric governance model in past 11 years

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that in the past 11 years, India has built a governance model that is transparent, responsive and citizen-centric. Addressing a public programme in Kartavyapath this evening, Mr Modi said, India is being shaped by a holistic vision, where progress reaches every region. He mentioned that more than 30 thousand Panchayat buildings, more than four crore houses for the poor and 300 new medical colleges have also been built in the country.  The Prime Minister called on people to make India the world’s third-largest economy and script the success story of Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

                                                               

        He said, Kartavya Bhavan embodies the resolve to fulfil the nation’s dreams and it will guide the policies and direction of a developed India. The Prime Minister said, Kartavya Bhavan is a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to enhance governance by bringing together multiple ministries and departments under one roof. 

                Prime Minister underscored that this is just the first Kartavya Bhavan that has been completed, and the construction of many more Kartavya Bhavans is progressing rapidly. He added that once these offices shift nearby, it will lead to a better work environment and convenience for employees. The Prime Minister said that essential facilities will be available, overall work output will increase, and the government will also save 1,500 crore rupees currently being spent on rent. The Prime Minister mentioned that ‘Kartavya Bhavan’ name was given to this building after a lot of deliberation, this name represents the basic values of the country’s democracy and the Constitution.

        Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar thanked highligted that Kartavya Bhavan 3 will house several ministries, including Home Affairs, External Affairs, Rural Development, MSME, DoPT, Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministries, and the Principal Scientific Adviser’s office.
