Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the passing of singer Garimella Balakrishna Prasad. In his message, Mr Modi stated that the soul-stirring renditions of Garimella Balakrishna Prasad had touched countless hearts, preserving and celebrating the rich spiritual and musical heritage. He added that the singer will be remembered as a gifted musician and composer.

Garimella Balakrishna Prasad passed away yesterday. He was a classical devotional singer and composer. He was awarded Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2020 for his contribution to Carnatic Vocal music.
