PM Modi thanks people of Goa for support to BJP–MGP alliance in Zilla Panchayat Polls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the people of Goa for blessing the BJP-MGP alliance with strong support in the Zilla Panchayat elections in the State. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that this will add more vigour to the NDA’s efforts for the growth of the State. He said, NDA is committed to boosting the dreams and aspirations of the people of this wonderful state.

Mr Modi added that the hardworking NDA workers have done commendable work on the ground, which has led to this result. Mr Modi said this in reply to a social media post of Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, who thanked the people of the State for placing their trust in the BJP and blessing it with a thumping victory.

Union Minister and BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda congratulated Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant and the Party’s State President Damodar G. Naik on the victory of Zilla Panchayat elections.

In a social media post. Mr Nadda also thanked the people of Goa for placing their trust in the BJP and its alliance, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party -MGP, in the Zilla Panchayat elections. He added that this victory reflects the people’s faith in good governance, development-driven policies, and the double-engine government.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today congratulated Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant and the Party’s State President, Damodar G. Naik, on the victory of Zilla Panchayat elections. In a social media post, Mr Shah also thanked the people of Goa for blessing the NDA with a resounding victory in the Zilla Panchayat polls. He added that the NDA serves the people in every tier of governance where it gets an opportunity, and this result stands as the people’s endorsement of efforts.
 
The BJP-MGP alliance managed to win a majority of seats in the Goa Zilla Panchayat polls. The two parties won more than 30 of the 50 ZP seats in the state, while the Congress emerged victorious on 10 seats and the AAP and Revolutionary Goans Party on one each. Four independent candidates also won in the polls, voting for which were held on December 20.
