PM Modi Speaks to Home Minister Shah, Civil Aviation Minister Naidu Over Ahmedabad Crash

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Home Minister Amit Shah and Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu over the Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad. He took stock of the situation and asked them to go to Ahmedabad. He also directed them to ensure that all possible assistance is extended immediately to those affected in the wake of the air mishap. 

 

Mr. Naidu informed the Prime Minister that he is rushing to Ahmedabad to oversee rescue and relief operations on the ground. He added that all the relevant agencies are on high alert and coordinated efforts are underway.  

 

Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed pain at the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. In a social media post, Mr Shah said disaster response forces have been quickly rushed to the crash site. The Home Minister said he has spoken with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad to assess the situation.

 

Union Health Minister JP Nadda has expressed distress at the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. He spoke to Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel and inquired about health facilities and relief work. In a social media post, Mr. Nadda said that the news of many people being killed in a plane crash is extremely sad.

 

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar had expressed shock at the flight crash in Ahmedabad. In his message, Dr Jaishankar said his prayers are with the passengers and their families.
