Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed the goal of making India a fully developed country by 2047. Drawing a comparison with the freedom movement, he asserted that if past generations could drive out colonial rulers in 20-35 years, today’s 140 crore citizens can realise the dream of a developed India within the next 25 years. The Prime Minister yesterday addressed the celebrations of 20 years of the Gujarat Urban Growth Story in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The Prime Minister highlighted India’s significant economic rise and expressed pride in surpassing global competitors. On India becoming the fourth-largest economy, Mr. Modi noted that overtaking a former colonial power marked a historic achievement. He added that the push to reach the third spot is now gaining momentum. He also reiterated India’s ambition to host the Olympics in 2036, underscoring the country’s readiness to take on global leadership roles.
Highlighting the significance of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, it will extend beyond its original scope, symbolising a lifelong commitment to national progress. He said Operation Sindoor is not merely a military initiative but a responsibility shared by every Indian citizen. The Prime Minister urged citizens to assess their daily consumption, identify foreign products, and replace them with locally made alternatives. The Prime Minister stressed the necessity of economic self-reliance, advocating for the One District, One Product strategy to enhance local manufacturing and support indigenous industries. Encouraging national pride, the Prime Minister urged citizens to take pride in Made in India products and celebrate the country’s advancements.
Prime Minister Modi concluded a day visit to Gujarat, during which he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over 82,000 crore rupees. He launched projects worth 5,536 crore rupees at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar yesterday.
On Monday, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated projects worth over 77,000 crore rupees in Dahod and Bhuj.
