On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the upper house today, Rajya Sabha MP and Former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that the Prime Minister provided a clear overview in his speech today about the government’s actions regarding the situation in West Asia. Talking to Reporters at the Parliament premises, Mr Shringla emphasizes that India’s position is rooted in dialogue and diplomacy.

Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale, said that the Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the US and Iran in his speech. Speaking to the Reporters, the Minister said, Prime Minister Modi stressed that the country needs to become more self-sufficient, especially in energy.
