Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to Tiruppur Kumaran and Subramaniya Siva on their birth anniversary. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that both leaders from Tamil Nadu dedicated their lives to India’s freedom struggle and inspired the spirit of nationalism among the people.

Remembering their sacrifice, Mr Modi said that Tiruppur Kumaran attained martyrdom while holding the national flag, symbolising unflinching courage and supreme devotion to the motherland. He also added that Subramaniya Siva, through his fearless writings and fiery speeches, awakened cultural pride and patriotism among the youth. The Prime Minister further stated that the tireless efforts and sacrifices of these two visionaries remain etched in the nation’s memory that paved the way for India’s Independence.
