In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur is admired for his exemplary efforts in developing Tripura. Mr Modi noted that his passion for public service, commitment to empowering the poor and dedication to social upliftment continue to inspire everyone greatly. The Prime Minister said, the Central Government and the Government of Tripura are working tirelessly to realise his vision.
Popularly known as the “Architect of Modern Tripura”, Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur reigned for the period from 1923 to 1947.
