Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have paid tribute to Bhartiya Jana Sangh founder Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary today. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that Dr. Mukherjee made India proud with his strong nationalist thoughts. He added, his dedication and sacrifice for the motherland will always inspire the countrymen.
Home Minister Amit Shah said that Dr. Mukherjee will definitely be remembered, whenever there is talk of fighting for the unity and integrity of the country. He added that Dr. Mukherjee provided ideological alternatives to the country with the establishment of Jan Sangh and will remain a guide on the path of nation first for a long time.
