Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid homage to Acharya Vinoba Bhave on the occasion of his birth anniversary, recalling his towering contributions to India’s spiritual, social, and political landscape. In a social media post, he said that Mr Bhave was the country’s most revered spiritual leader, freedom fighters and social reformers. His life was devoted to popularising Gandhian ideals and empowering the marginalised. Mr Modi added that his thoughts inspire us greatly in the pursuit of building a Viksit Bharat.
