Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated countrymen on India winning the bid to host Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad in 2030. In a social media post, the Prime Minister said that it is delighting that India has won the bid to host the Centenary Commonwealth Games 2030.
Congratulating the people, Mr. Modi said, it is the country’s collective commitment and spirit of sportsmanship that has placed India firmly on the global sporting map. Mr. Modi said that with the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, India is eager to be celebrating these historic games with great enthusiasm. The Prime Minister said that India is looking forward to welcoming the world.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also congratulated countrymen on announcing that India is hosting Commonwealth Games 2030. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that it is a proud moment for every citizen as India wins the prestigious bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
He added that this is a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for turning Bharat into a global sports hotspot. The Minister said that through penance spanning over a decade, Mr. Modi has developed world-class sports infrastructure and uplifted nation’s potential through effective governance and seamless teamwork.
