PM Modi meets Bengal BJP MPs, urges strong stand against TMC

BJP MPs from West Bengal today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During the meeting, Mr Modi asked the party MPs from West Bengal to effectively counter the Trinamool Congress-led government in the state and work towards winning the assembly elections next year.
 
 
Talking to reporters outside Parliament, West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar said, during the meeting the Prime Minister specifically asked about Khagen Murmu, who recently faced a very brutal attack. He said, Mr Modi spoke to Mr Murmu and encouraged him, saying that he has fought bravely and must continue to fight in the days ahead. Dr Majumdar said, the Prime Minister told the MPs that they must stand firmly against the TMC government and continue their struggle to protect democracy in the state.
 
 
The Prime Minister also praised the dedication and tireless efforts of the BJP workers in West Bengal and highlighted their role in public outreach and standing with the people of the state in times of their needs.
