Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Rampal Kashyap during a public meeting in Haryana on Monday. In a social media post, the Prime Minister shared that Mr Kashyap had taken a vow 14 years ago to remain barefoot until Narendra Modi became Prime Minister and he had the opportunity to meet him.

Mr Modi expressed that he was humbled by the dedication and affection shown by individuals like Mr. Kashyap However, he also urged people who take such vows to channel their devotion into causes related to social service and nation building.
